Enjoy the Moab to Denver Train Experience

For the first time ever, travelers can take a two-day rail journey from Denver to Moab in a luxury train. Rocky Mountaineer, the Canadian luxury rail line that has been operating in Canada since 1990, will be offering this trip on a limited basis starting this summer.

The route has been named Rockies to the Red Rocks, and it’ll take passengers from the bustling city of Denver to Utah’s world-famous recreation hub of Moab. The Canadian company’s two-day, daytime route will give passengers an opportunity to see some of the most beautiful landscapes in America while traveling in a spacious glass-dome coach.

On the train, guests can expect to enjoy onboard storytelling, premium cuisine and captivating scenery in a custom-designed glass dome coach. They can also customize their vacations by adding hotel stays in Denver and Moab or incorporating pre- or post-rail trips.

Guests can also choose from a variety of packages, including one that includes round-trip travel and an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This is a great option for those who are looking to explore more of the region after their two-day train adventure.

While most people think of Colorado as a place for rafting and skiing, the state is home to a number of other unique outdoor experiences, including hiking and biking. If you’re looking for something a bit more active, check out the Denver Greenway, a paved bike path that runs throughout the city and is accessible from most parts of the metro area.

If you’re a foodie, you can stop by Carboy winery or Logan Street Restaurant in downtown Denver, both of which serve up delicious, local wines. You can even rent bikes from Mile High Bike Tours to ride along the Greenway and experience more of the city’s scenic vistas.

There’s a lot to love about the moab to denver train, but it’s the scenery that  really makes this journey stand out. As soon as the train leaves Denver, you’ll start catching glimpses of the stunning Colorado River and its canyons. You’ll also pass through a section of the Grand Mesa National Forest.

You’ll then cross the Colorado-Utah border and be surrounded by red sandstone as you approach Moab. This is the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, where you can enjoy off-road adventures or mesmerizing stargazing.

Once you’ve explored Moab, the train will bring you back to Denver, where you can rest up at a hotel or grab dinner in the lively city. You can even opt for an extended itinerary and head to Salt Lake City or Las Vegas for a little more action.

Aside from the breathtaking vistas, this Rocky Train Vacations – Rail Tour Packages train trip has another perk: sleep. While other rail lines charge a fee for sleeping accommodations, Rocky Mountaineer’s packages include bed and breakfast stays in Denver and Moab, as well as food and drinks served onboard.

Whether you’re planning on taking the trip or not, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for an unforgettable travel experience. The only downside is that this train ride isn’t cheap, with prices ranging from $1456 to $1,250 per person. If you’re on a budget, you might want to consider driving or hopping in a plane instead.
